Hydroxyapatite VS Fluoride

Hydroxyapatite and fluoride are both used to strengthen tooth enamel and help prevent cavities, but they work in different ways. Hydroxyapatite directly helps repair and rebuild enamel because it is the natural mineral that makes up teeth, while fluoride strengthens enamel and increases its resistance to acid and decay. Although both are effective for oral health, fluoride has more extensive clinical research supporting its role in cavity prevention.
